There are various different kinds of cancer that people are now being diagnosed with and of all of these Breast Cancer is actually one of the more easily treatable.  However it is vital that if a woman wants to get it treated then it is best if it is detected during its early stages of growth.  The reason why this form of cancer is so easily treatable is because of the methods of detection of that are employed.  These methods have now made this form of cancer one of the more favorable for not only being treated easily but is more likely to provide the sufferer with a cure.

The best ways for helping to detect Breast Cancer in its early stages today is through either a breast examination being carried our or the use of a mammography test.  These are the most favored ways being used today of detecting this form of cancer.  In studies which have been carried out it has been found that in those women who have their cancer detected in its early stages have a greater chance of survival.

Certainly women are now being told it is extremely important that they carry out regular breast examinations on themselves as they will be more aware of any changes to their breasts.  But also if there is a history of Breast Cancer in the family then having regular mammograms will help to ensure that detection of the disease can often be found during its much earlier stages of formation.  In fact both examinations and mammograms are now used as the basis for detecting it in women today.
